Churches and monuments

There are many ecclesiastical buildings to be found in Mariánské Lázně that are definitely worth your attention. Just a few steps away of the local colonnade, you will find the 19th century Roman Catholic Church of the Virgin Mary Assumption. The Russian orthodox church of St. Vladimír located in close vicinity of the Anglican church only testifies to the religious diversity in Mariánské Lázně. Walking in the local parks, you can also encounter monuments to famous personages that made the growth of this exquisite town possible. Among the most interesting belongs the busts of Josef Nehr, Václav Skalník or the statue of Karel K. Reitenberger.
